The Cooked It is a strong and highly appreciated dish, but as it is usually eaten as a family, large quantities are usually made, and the next day we find many remains that we must take advantage of.

One of the best ways to do it is to prepare a cooked puree for children, so you will not only take advantage of the vegetables that have been left over, but you can offer your children a very healthy puree with a different flavor, they will surely appreciate it.

  • 250 ml. stew broth
  • 100 gr. Serrano ham
  • 50 gr. of bread
  • 5 carrots
  • 1 leek
  • 2 potatoes
  • ½ carrots
  • Oil
  • Salt

1. If there are vegetables left over from the stew, use them. If not, wash and peel the potatoes and carrots; chop them together with the leek.

2. Heat water in a saucepan with a little salt, add the vegetables when the water starts to boil and cook for about 15 - 20 minutes, until they are very tender.

3. Drain the vegetables. Put them in a blender glass with the cooking broth, the crumbled bread, a drizzle of oil and salt.

4. Blend everything until there is a homogeneous puree, if necessary pass it through the masher to make it finer. Put it in a saucepan and heat over low heat for a few minutes.

5. Meanwhile, add a little oil to a skillet over medium-high heat. When it is hot, add the ham cut into strips and toast for a few minutes. Serve the puree accompanied by the ham strips.
